After two years serving as Design Editor-in-Chief of Descent Magazine, I led a full logo and identity rebrand to reposition the publication as a more elevated and cohesive platform for young Asian American voices. The redesign focused on clarity, longevity, and typographic strength, moving the magazine toward a visual language that felt intentional rather than ornamental.

Through a refined logo system, updated layout structures, and a more confident editorial rhythm, the rebrand sought to honor the complexity of the community it represents while creating space for emerging writers and artists to be taken seriously. The new identity frames Descent not just as a student publication, but as a cultural platform.
